Recently I've been in contact with some very enthusiastic and motivated individuals.  I'd like to share a brief summary of the project that is currently underway.  GoBrag™ is set to launch this summer in Elmwood Park and surrounding neighborhoods.

What is GoBrag™?
GoBrag™ is an application for the iPhone™ and Android™ smartphone.  It allows users to “check in” to their favorite local establishments and brag about their experience.  At the same time, our “braggers” earn points each time they check in and post comments via their Twitter™, Facebook™ and FourSquare™, and other social media accounts.  These points are redeemable for free stuff at the location to which they have just promoted over social media.

>Check it out on Facebook<

By The Numbers:
●  400,000 social media users within a 10-mile radius of Elmwood Park.
●  The average Facebook™ user has 170 friends.
●  55% of smartphone users own either an Android™ or iPhone™.  Total number of smartphone users has increased 49% since 2010.

What do you think of this concept? Contact me or leave a comment below.

On this day, I would like to acknowledge the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day by highlighting the Small Business Administration's Office of Women's Business Ownership.  Established in 1979, the OWBO has "fostered the participation of women entrepreneurs in the economy, especially those who have been historically under-served or excluded. OWBO reaches out to women entrepreneurs through a number of programs that are coordinated through every SBA district office. OWBO’s programs provide business training and counseling, access to credit and capital, and marketing opportunities, including federal contracts."  Please take a moment to check out their services, opportunities, and inspirational stories about women in Entrepreneurship.
